Meet the Artists. Uncover a world of creative possibilities as artists open their studio doors across the Gympie region. From blacksmiths to textile artists - and everything in between -  immerse yourself in the diversity of creativity on offer along the trail. See live demonstrations, join a workshop or try your hand yourself.

  • The Cooloola Coast Art Group is committed to supporting local artists and a vibrant arts culture inspired by our beautiful coastal waters. The group explores a variety of mediums and techniques to produce a diverse collection of works on display.

    • Morning and afternoon tea available on both Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of July.
    • The RSL Bar will be open for beverages.

  • Australian Champion Chainsaw Sculptor Keith Gall invites you in to view artworks including the SILKY wood sculpture being prepared for bronze casting, the foundry area and the waxwork studio.  Visit Keith at his studio in the Tin Can Bay Community & Men's Shed. Tea and Coffee available.

  • Visit this artisan hub, where members share knowledge, learn new skills, and produce unique woodwork and metalwork. Tour the extensive workshops and watch our makers at work.  Tin Can Bay Community & Men's Shed aims to improve the health and well being of all members by providing a supportive and productive environment.  Members share knowledge, learn new skills and produce unique items which are available for purchase. Free tours of our extensive workshop, social areas and retail display will happen on a needs basis.

  • Jan Lawnikanis is a multi award-winning visual artist with 30 years of experience. Currently working on a series of Australian birds and flora for a solo exhibition, Jan welcomes you to her home studio to see the work in progress and view her artworks.  Time your visit to wave to the Rattler from Jan's Studio.

    • Painting demonstrations will be held throughout the day.
    • If places are available, new students are welcome to Jan’s watercolour classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays at her home studio. 9:30 am - 12:30pm. $35 for an individual class or $30 if paying for more than one class. Visit the website for more information.

  • Beloved Gympie artist Susan Zela Bissett (Zela) combines art and science in her artworks, using natural, environmentally sustainable materials including office waste, foraged fibres, re-purposed fabrics, and salvaged timber a to create her works. Visit Zela this year at the Gympie Regional Gallery.

Come and meet the ART POST artists, view their works, and hear how artists including Painters, Photographers, Printmakers and Jewellers create their artwork.

  • The Cooloola potters group brings together potters whose diversity of experiences and cultural backgrounds enriches the pottery they produce. Join the potters in exploring, the medium of clay. Visit the Cooloola Potters Group at the Jean Beattie Hall.

    Demonstrations: wheel throwing and  hand-building with clay.

    • Workshop on Saturday from 10am. $35 pp

  • 39 Myall St is the home and studio of Trish Callaghan, a lifelong Bowerbird. Stepping into the intimate space of Studio Myall 39 is to enter a wonderworld of materials, ephemera and art books. Visitors to this usually private space will be able to see unique art techniques in use.
